White’s Story Department, I wanted to write and tell you what a great time I'm having with my DFX. I purchased my DFX about a month ago. Well I went out yesterday and found my first Silver. WOW! This DFX is the greatest. I've been finding relics and I've found some wheats with it but I've been looking for Silver. I had a good signal showing at 4.5 inches and decided to dig. Out came a 43 Merc. Here are some pictures of my first finds! Thanks again, Mark T. |

Hello White’s, My name is Tim, and I live in a small town in South Alabama that dates back to the 1800's. I purchased my first White’s metal detector from a fellow White's metal detectorist I met thru the White's Metal Detecting Forum. My detector is an IDX Pro with the standard 9.5 coil. Now for the story, I received permission to hunt an old drive in theater just outside of my home town. This Drive-in was opened in the 40's and continued to operate until around 1975. I spoke with the owner who told me that her father had built the drive-in to give the hard working country folks something to do on Saturday nights. Money was real tight back then and a lot of the boys were returning home from the war in Europe and the Pacific. Admission was $3.00 per vehicle. She laughed at this point, fondly remembering those easier times, saying that the folks would "Load up the trucks" with anyone that wanted to go! Anyway she told me to be sure and check around the area were the big screen had been, because they had built some swings, merry-go-round, and see-saws for the kids to play on during the movie. I hunted this area first and never made it any farther! I found 44 Lincoln pennies, 4 wheat pennies, 33 dimes, 2 Quarters, 1 Half dollar, 3 nickels, 2 silver rings; one of which was 6 inches down, and 1 1937 Buffalo nickel! This was in just one afternoon! All I can say is “Thanks, White's for making the BEST metal detectors!!! Tim |

White’s Electronics, A friend of mine was telling me about a mine dump where he found a couple nuggets a couple of years ago. After asking a couple of times, he finely took me there last week. I worked next to the tailing pile and was blessed with my first nugget of the day. Within 20 minutes I found 2 more. While eating lunch I dropped the first nugget on the floorboard of the truck. I looked for 30 minutes but couldn't find it. I went back 2 days later to find my fourth nugget to replace the first one which I never found. All in all I thought it was a great two days. Doug P.S. I found all the nuggets with my GMT.

I've been hunting with the MXT for going on 2 years now and I'm still happy I made the choice to go with this machine! I couldn't ask for an easier machine to use, pretty simple and goes deep to top it off. Back in March 2007, I was fortunate enough to attend my first 'Diggin' in Virginia' hunt organized by John and Rose Kendrick. Soon after lunch on the first day of the hunt, my buddy Steven digs a nice fuse plug at the edge of a massive field and little did i know the spot had more to offer. Roughly 15 minutes after he dug the fuse plug I get a VERY loud strong signal, VDI is locked on +0 Foil and it says 4 inches deep. The halo was too big to be foil so I had to investigate this one a little further but I was fully expecting a big piece of iron junk. I dug about a 6-inch plug and scanned the hole and the target was still in there, this time pinpoint says 7 inches. Couple more minutes of removing dirt and the shovel finally makes contact with the target roughly 10-12 inches down. Not long after making contact, I exposed this hard to come by Confederate Read Shell with lead side loader plug still intact!! For my first shell find I was speechless HA, HA. Electrolysis treatment came courtesy of Steve Adams and I must say it looks great. In May 2007, my friend Jimmy invites me to a new hot spot where he had found some nice buttons including a beautiful South Carolina button. We pulled into the location, chatted with the landowner for a few minutes and off we went. Not too far from where he had found his S.C. button a couple days earlier, I get a deep signal I could barely hear but it was consistent. Moments later this Confederate Staff Officer's cuff button pops up from 10 inches down! This was my first Confederate button. The MXT delivered on 2 of my goals for the 2007 year, an intact artillery shell and a Confederate button. Thank you White's for making one awesome machine! Thanks, Barry C.

Dear White’s, I thought I would write you and tell you about one of my best finds with my MXT. I was detecting one of my usual spots in the woods, when I got a mixed trashy type signal, I decided to dig it. I am glad I did, because about 8 inches down, I had to cut a huge root with my lesche digger. I started pulling necklaces out of the dirt by the handfuls. There were 42 necklaces and 3 rings individually wrapped in plastic. It was very exciting to find this! Thank you for making such a great machine. Hope you enjoy the story and picture.
